Assistant Director – The Shediac Lobster Festival

SHEDIAC, NEW BRUNSWICK

Shediac, NB May 6, 2021 - The incumbent will serve as assistant to the Lobster Festival Executive Director. He/she will provide a variety of information about the Lobster Festival. Greet and inform people in the language of their choice (French or English). Will participate in board meetings and sub-committee meetings. Will assist in the implementation of the Lobster Festival logistics. Will prepare promotional tools for the Festival. Carry out all other related tasks as assigned.

Education / Requirements

Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have own means of transportation.

 

Must be in a college or university program with an interest in events planning, marketing and public relations. Must be returning to school in September 2021.

 

Must be bilingual with good oral and written communication skills in both French and English.

 

Must be a self-starter, motivated and able to work with little supervision.

 

Must have marketing and social media knowledge.

 

Supervision/Training

Training will be provided if needed. Supervision will be under the guidance of Executive Director.

 

Hours of work

12 weeks

 

Thirty-five (35) hours per week. Variable hours. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
