Festival Grounds Policies
Entrance to the Shediac Lobster Festival is subject to the following conditions
PEOPLE MAY BE PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING THE FESTIVAL FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

​The right of admission is reserved. In particular, the festival organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or eject any person who is drunk or disorderly, whose behavior is illegal or offensive, or who is not entitled to attend the event. Any person causing a disturbance or refusing to comply with the reasonable requests of the festival organizers may be removed from the premises.

Persons under the age of 12 must be under the direct supervision of an adult at all times. The festival organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or expel anyone under the age of 12 not accompanied by an adult.

Unauthorized persons are prohibited from accessing the festival grounds and any other areas not accessible to the public.

Individuals may be refused entry if they have not complied with relevant guidance from local and national health authorities.

Subject to the discretion of the festival organizers, persons must not wear or display any commercial, political, religious or offensive signs or logos, sell goods or services, or distribute political, religious, advertising or promotional materials without the prior written approval of the festival organizers.

People wearing attire deemed offensive or likely to present a danger or compromise security, according to festival management, may also be refused entry.

Bags less than 30 x 30 x 15 cm are allowed. Large bags, such as backpacks, will not be permitted. Bags and other items may be inspected and people may be searched. Persons refusing inspections or searches may be refused entry.

Re-entry into the festival is not permitted. Exceptions may be made in case of emergency or medical situations.

Alcoholic beverages must not be brought into or out of the festival. Minors are prohibited from purchasing or consuming alcohol, and it is prohibited for any person to provide alcohol to minors.

Deliveries from external caterers will not be permitted within the festival.

People are not allowed to bring food or drinks into the festival. This does not apply to foods for people with specific medical dietary restrictions.
PEOPLE ARE PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING THE FESTIVAL WITH THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

Items which, in the opinion of festival management, have the potential to cause injury, illness or nuisance or inconvenience to any other person will not be permitted into the festival. This includes controlled, dangerous or illegal substances, cans, bottles, flares, fireworks, laser pointers and weapons of any description. This may also include certain musical instruments, flags and flagpoles, and any other items deemed by festival management to have the potential to cause injury or nuisance or inconvenience to any other person.

Cameras (including digital cameras), audio and video recorders may only be brought into the festival at the discretion of the festival management.
OTHER POLICIES TO NOTE:

Unless approved by festival management, persons are not permitted to transmit, broadcast, sell, license or otherwise publish, broadcast or reproduce any recording (including photographic, video or sound) of the event. These recordings can be confiscated or erased. Any confiscated recordings or recording devices will become the property of the festival organizers.

Individuals acknowledge that Festival Organizers may use an individual's image or likeness in connection with any recording of the Event.

Individuals assume all risk of any damage or loss (including property damage, personal injury, economic and consequential loss) howsoever arising at the festival. Individuals bring personal effects onto the premises at their own risk. Festival management will not be responsible for any damage, loss or theft of any person's personal property.
THE FESTIVAL IS A SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT:

In accordance with the festival's no smoking policy, smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes or similar devices designed to simulate smoking) is prohibited:

in all festival areas

outside in the squares
-
in public spaces within 10 meters of any entry point to the festival

Persons who smoke in the festival, fail to comply with a health directive or who fail to comply with a directive from festival management or another authorized person to stop smoking or comply with a health directive in the festival or its seating sections:

may be immediately expelled from the festival.
